James Tong Inducted as Chinese Outreach and Connections Pastor

On Sunday 21 January, James Tong was inducted as the Outreach and Connections Pastor for our NewHope Chinese Congregation.

James has been undertaking studies and serving as an Intern pastor with us since 2021. James is the youngest brother of Rev Rebekah Tong, a former co-pastor in the Chinese Congregation (who passed away in 2017) with James Lin (her husband).

We are grateful for James’ ministry as he steps into this role to help lead the growing and flourishing Chinese Congregation alongside lead Pastor Edmund Hu.
