New Sermon Series: Living in the Kingdom

Published on January 31, 2024

This Sunday, 4 February, we return to our normal service pattern of 9am, 11am, 5pm and online.

We’re looking forward to the start of a new teaching series titled, “Living in the Kingdom”.

Context matters. It shapes us. Think about different families, suburbs, schools, companies, stages of life, and even nations. Where we are, impacts who we are becoming. So it’s important to pay attention to our ‘location’. Jesus calls us to live in God’s Kingdom. He wants us to position ourselves – physically, spiritually, emotionally, eternally – in the correct ‘location’. This is not a ‘pin’ on Google Maps, it is so much more!

Knowing what the Kingdom of God is and learning to live in it, is the most powerful thing you will ever learn as a Christian. During term one of 2024, we will explore this beautiful Kingdom theme. The best way to experience what it means to live in the Kingdom of God, is through prayer. And the best way to talk about what God’s Kingdom actually is, is with parables. We find both of these teachings in Matthew’s Gospel, where we will focus for some exciting learning and revival-living in the next three months.

We will study the Lord’s Prayer up until Passion Week. And then we explore parables from Matthew chapter 13 for the rest of the series, ending with a testimony Sunday on 28 April 2024. We hope you can join us weekly.
