mainly music is for babies, toddlers and preschoolers to join together weekly with their caregivers for interactive sessions full of music, movement, learning and fun! The structured 30 minute music session will be followed by about 60 minutes of eat/play/chat. Morning tea will be served, followed by a time of craft and play. 

Each session is designed to engage you and your child. You’ll enjoy special one-to-one time and attention with your little one, as well as opportunities to meet other families. mainly music is a wonderful place to connect with others in a similar season of life. 

Sessions run on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 10am during the school term. The cost is $70 per family per term.

What age should I start my child at mainly music?

mainly music is for young children under five years old. The music sessions are fun and engaging for toddlers, preschoolers and even babies. Those too young to follow along with actions or dances can still engage with the sounds and movements around them. They will learn as they watch and interact with you, and as babies become toddlers, they’ll be keen to participate.

What food is provided for morning tea and can I bring my own?

We provide a variety of fruit and biscuits for the children, and coffee and tea for the adults. Please ensure you let us know of any allergies when you enrol.

You are welcome to bring your own food and drink into mainly music. However, we ask that you not bring any nuts or nuts products as many young children have allergies.

Middle Ground Café is also located right downstairs and is a great place to meet up with others before or after mainly music. 

What equipment do you have at mainly music?

During our music sessions we engage with a range of fun and interactive props, such as bean bags, scarves, claves and musical instruments. We also have a range of toys which come out during playtime. We encourage an environment of creativity, imagination and exploration.

What else does NewHope offer for children and families?

Playspace

Playspace is a place for preschool children and their care-givers to enjoy some fun unstructured play and adventure, as well as refreshment from the café and a chat with friends! Playspace is open Tuesdays to Fridays from 9:30am to 1:00pm during the school term.

 

NewHope Kids

We have a Kids Church service which runs in line with the morning adult gatherings each Sunday at 9am and 11am through the school terms. Kids Church is fun, free and everyone is invited! If you are coming along for the first time please fill out the registration form found on our website to help us prepare for your visit.

 

NewHope Baptist Preschool

NewHope Baptist Preschool is committed to providing a high quality educational program for young children. Our Christian staff create a caring, nurturing environment where each child is given the opportunity to develop and grow. Applications and enquires are through the Whitehorse Preschool Association. 

 

KickStart

KickStart is our highly popular introduction to soccer program designed for boys and girls from 4.5-7 years of age. KickStart takes new registrations throughout the year. Please see our website for more information.
