NewHope has a rich and celebrated history that speaks of God’s kindness and faithfulness. As we build on this firm foundation, our call remains the same—to share the good news of Jesus and his message of hope to our city and our world. The fields are ripe for harvest and God is on the move.
Our hearts are full of fresh faith that we will see a move of the Spirit in our community. As we commit ourselves to his call, we know God will do even more than we can hope or imagine in 2026, and we look forward to stepping into this vision together.

Commissioning Sunday

Join us for the Commissioning Service of our new Senior Pastor, Andrew Sercombe. Together we will celebrate God’s faithfulness and officially welcome Andrew, Megan, Olivia, Eva, Maddie and Jacob to NewHope.
- 10AM: Commissioning Service
- 5PM: Worship and Q&A with Andrew & Megan
This will be a busy and exciting time of celebration. We encourage you to come early and consider parking on surrounding streets (please be mindful of our neighbours).

Sign the Card
As we welcome the Sercombe family to NewHope, we invite you to sign the digital card and pass on your personal greetings.
Let’s fill the card with messages of love and welcome, prayers of blessing, and lots of photos. This will be a big help to Andrew, Megan and the kids as they get to know our NewHope family. (You can also add a photo to your profile on Planning Center or the Church Center app to help Andrew put names to faces as he settles in.)
All these messages will be gathered and printed together in a special book, and presented to the Sercombe family at the Commissioning Service.

2026 Launch Night
Join with volunteers from across NewHope as we launch into a new year of ministry together. If you currently serve at NewHope or are interested in serving in 2026, then this training is for you. Please note: There are some volunteers, such as those who serve with children, for whom this training is compulsory for compliance requirements.
We’re excited about this opportunity to develop unity across ministry teams as we reflect on our joint mission, values and strategic themes. We’ll also be going over essential leadership and safety training to be the best we can be for God’s Kingdom work at NewHope.
