As the Engagement Pastor, Adam is involved with Young Adults, Groups & Integration, Communications, and the 5pm Service. He provides leadership and support across the team, with responsibilities that include preaching, newcomer integration, Accessible Prophecy huddles, leadership development, communications strategy, and ministry oversight.
Adam first joined the NewHope staff in 2017 as a graphic designer, before stepping into pastoral ministry as Youth Pastor in 2020 and now into his current role. Alongside his ministry, Adam has previously worked as the Digital Communications Coordinator at the Baptist Union of Victoria, led for several years with Red Frogs as a Location Leader in Rye, and continues to serve on the State Youth Games committee and as Deputy Chair of the WellSpring Centre. He is currently an Arrow State Peer Group Leader, a Level 1 Ordination Candidate, and is studying at Whitley College. In 2025, Adam was a speaker at the Baptist World Congress Nxt Gen Summit.
At the heart of Adam’s ministry is a desire to form resilient disciples for the glory of God. He is passionate about helping people encounter Jesus, find community, and step into their God-given calling. He loves equipping and empowering leaders to reach their potential and is especially energised by pioneering new initiatives and creating healthy structures that help the church flourish.
Adam has been part of the NewHope community since 2005, was baptised and became a member in 2012, and has served across many ministries over the years. He is married to Kelsey and together they are parents to Lincoln (3) and Amelia (9 months). Fridays are “dad days,” which usually involve parks, playgrounds, and plenty of coffee. Outside of ministry, Adam enjoys time with family and friends, reading (usually audiobooks), and being in or on the water — whether that’s swimming, wakeboarding, or on a jetski.
