Stations of the Cross.

Easter Virtual Stations of the Cross

Follow the way of the cross and engage at each reflective station created by artists from NewHope, and abroad depicting Jesus passion and death.

This Easter as we enter into a different kind reality – not physically together, but spiritually united by the Spirit, let us utilise every resource and opportunity we have to connect people to the way that leads to fullness of life. Thanks to the assistance of talented artists from our NewHope community and abroad, this year we present a powerful Easter resource ‘The Way of the Cross’ – it’s a virtual tour of the Stations of the Cross.

This experience was created for you to engage with and contemplate the journey Jesus took to the cross – and his resurrection. The Way of the Cross is a journey from words into silence: Jesus’ public life, over three years, gradually moves from speaking, and healing and explaining, to fewer words and more giving, less caution and more courage.

HOW BEST TO ENGAGE WITH IT?

Take the Tour: Explore the 3D tour above which will take you through all the stations.

Explore the Stations: Click on each station (ideally in number order) where you will find an image of the art piece and an audio commentary to help you engage with this scene meaningfully. You’ll also find a scriptural text, poetry, music to listen to, and details of the artist and their inspiration for the piece they created.
