Updates from the Annual General Meeting

Published on June 8, 2022

Our Annual General Meeting on Monday, June 6th was a wonderful time to be together as a church family.

We had a powerful time of worship and an opportunity to reflect on the input collected at our Vision Night. We heard ministry updates and stories that celebrated God’s goodness at work in the lives of people and communities across NewHope. We had a chance to connect together both in-person and through the online chat. Despite the cold night, we were warmed by fellowship with each other and with the Lord.

The meeting also included endorsement and voting for Church Council members. We would like to congratulate Chris Meyers who continues as Church Chair, and Amanda Carruthers, who continues her role as Church Secretary. We would also like to congratulate Murray Baird and Darryn Hockley who continue as ordinary members. Thank you to all our nominees.

Our Finance Director, Andrew Gale also provided an update on our financial position and you can view a summary, as well as statements for each of NewHope’s entities HERE.

If you are interested in becoming a member of NewHope or would like to explore baptism, we would love to connect with you. Visit our website to find out more newhope.net.au/baptism-and-membership.
