Updated Covid-Safe Measures

Published on April 8, 2021

Updated Covid-Safe measures now require places of worship to use the Victorian Government’s app as the go to digital system for record keeping and contact tracing. So what does this mean for NewHope? For most events there will be no change. We are already using the Government’s Service app for visitors to NewHope and will continue to do so in order to meet requirements.

Here is what you can expect.

Checking in on the weekend
We will continue to have hosted check in available at our worship gatherings on Sundays and at our large reoccurring events such as Shift Youth. You can also check-in via the Church Centre App to cut down the time waiting in line. Check-in allows us to track capacity numbers and continue to meet compliance requirements. Our team will upload check-in information directly to the Victorian Government where it will be securely kept in case of an outbreak scenario. Please continue to register your attendance each Sunday and give your name to the Connect Team at the door when you arrive.

Checking in during the week
Are you dropping in for a coffee at Middle Ground Café or having a meeting with a few others onsite at 3 Springfield Road? It is important that you check-in each time you visit. Please ensure you scan the QR code and follow the prompts to check in when you arrive. You’ll find the QR codes displayed at the doors upon entering and at reception. Please don’t hesitate to let us know if you need assistance.

Thank you for helping us stay Covid-Safe!
