Shift Youth Term 2 – Introducing SHIFT LIVE!

Published on April 9, 2020
Term 2 is just around the corner and we’d love to give you an update on what’s happening at Shift Youth. For the foreseeable future Shift will be completely online. Each week our leaders will check-in with the youth. This will be an opportunity for our leaders to offer prayer and counsel during this time. Our regular Friday night ministry will still be running during the school term. At 7pm all youth (and parents) are invited to join us for Shift Live. This will be a half an hour Live Broadcast, featuring fun, games, digital connection and teaching. Our youth will then head into Online Small Groups at 7:30pm.
Shift Live will broadcast on Facebook and YouTube and can easily be accessed at newhope.net.au/youth. Please note that a Facebook account is required to view on Facebook, however no account is required to view on YouTube.
Online Small Groups will be held on Zoom, in private password protected meetings. Details regarding the meeting will be made available closer to the first night of Term 2 (Friday 17th April) and only after a new Online Registration Form has been completed. Please complete this form for each child you have in Shift Youth.
Below are some resources to help you install Zoom and join a meeting.
We understand that Shift Youth Online is new for everyone, so we want to assure you of your child’s safety online. Feel free to have a read of our Online Safety document.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at youth@newhope.net.au
Cheers,
Adam + Tim
