Refresh:Reflect:Renew
At our retreat days we aim to provide a quiet, safe and welcoming place for rest, reflection and personal prayer.
Why?
With our increasingly busy lifestyles it can be difficult to find time to pay attention to our inner lives and to seek the deep spiritual nourishment God longs to bless us with. Days like this are a wonderful opportunity to allow ourselves space for rest and renewal. Attending a retreat can be an intentional response to Jesus’ invitation to “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” (Mark 6:31). Seeking regular times of silence, prayerful listening and attentiveness to the presence God’s Spirit can help us create life-giving personal rhythms in our lives.
Dates for 2021:
May 22 ”Beholding … Adoring”
August 21 “Everyday Wonders: God in Creation”
November 13 “Beachcombing: Gathering Treasure”

What to expect?
The program includes a brief welcome and introductory session, then free time to spend quietly however you wish. Books and art materials are available for your use, as well as handouts with suggestions for prayer and reflection. We often offer workshops (optional) about prayer practices and the spiritual life. There is also a time for sharing together and a simple communion service. While most of the time is spent in silence, the retreat leaders are available to talk or pray with you, if so desired.
What to bring?
Bring a journal and pen, and anything else you need to feel comfortable. Morning tea will be provided but please bring your lunch if you would like to remain into the afternoon.
You are warmly invited to join us!
