Responding to Stage 4 Restrictions

NewHope has implemented changes to ensure we are aligned with the Stage 4 Restrictions that came in this week.


Places of Worship are CLOSED for SERVICES.

WEDDINGS are not allowed during the next 6 weeks unless for compassionate reasons.

FUNERALS are allowed but only for 10 people.

Places of worship can operate for the broadcast of religious ceremonies with a maximum of five people on site.
Places of worship can operate or other community facilities for community purposes (e.g. Foodbank, soup kitchens)’


The MIDDLE GROUND CAFE can continue operating a takeaway / delivery service. You can order online.

The CHURCH OFFICE is able to be contacted as usual on Tel: (03) 9890 7999. The office is physically closed with all church administrative work being done by staff working from home.

NEWHOPE COMMUNITY CARE: Continues to lead our community response by providing food for people in need. If you need help, make contact with us here.

NEWHOPE BAPTIST PRESCHOOL: The Preschool continues to operate in accordance with Government Guidelines.

NEWHOPE MEDICAL: Continues to operate a telehealth model.  Call the NewHope Medical reception to make a booking, Tel: (03) 9066 1145.

BLACKBURN NEWHOPE FOOTBALL CLUB: The Football season has been suspended for 2020.

We are undertaking restricted operations inline with COVID Safe Plans, including safety practices such as: social spacing, hygiene, surface cleaning, wearing masks, and limitation of numbers continue. You can read our COVID Safe Plan here.
