Easter Virtual Stations of the Cross – Engage & Share this Amazing Resource

Published on April 9, 2020

This Easter as we enter into a different kind reality – not physically together, but spiritually united by the Spirit, let’s utilise every resource and opportunity we have to connect people to the way that leads to fullness of life.

Thanks to the assistance of an amazing team of people, this year we present a powerful Easter resource ‘The Way of the Cross’ – it’s a virtual tour of the stations of the cross.

Talented artists from our NewHope community and abroad have created pieces for you to engage with and contemplate that depict the journey Jesus took to the cross – and his resurrection.

Check it out HERE

Take the Tour: Click on the link and this will take you to the main page with a 3D tour you can take through all the stations. Then underneath the 3D tour are links for each reflective station.

Explore the Stations: Click on each station (ideally in number order) where you will find an image of the art piece and an audio commentary to help you engage with this scene meaningfully. You’ll also find a scriptural text, poetry, music to listen to, and details of the artist and their inspiration for the piece they created.

Please share all the Easter resources on the NewHope website with your networks, friends and family. May it be used by God in wonderful ways to remind people of how great God’s love is for all, and bring people home to Jesus.

God gave the vision of this art project to Julia Pope. Julia has been such a faithful steward of this vision, doing the hard work of making the vision a reality in the craziest of circumstances. So a big thank you to Julia for this amazing gift to the NewHope community! We are so grateful.

A project of this size takes a village. First and foremost, thank you to the wonderful artists who have contributed pieces – may God bless you and bring joy to your heart for your service to Him. Thanks also to Elizabeth Lee, Sheridan Tate, Belynda Hocking/Smith, Gael Campbell, Mark Berends from 360Victoria, Dave Sobey and Tim Spencer.

Creativity lies at the heart of who God is and Julia and team hope this Virtual Stations of the Cross will bring some delight, colour and joy to you, just as it has to the currently almost empty building space of NewHope.

Grace and Peace
