Chaplain Required for Sporting Club

Published on November 9, 2020

One of our local sporting clubs, East Box Hill Cricket Club, has experienced some significant hardship over the past 12 months with 3 deaths within the club. Sports Chaplaincy Australia in partnership with Cricket Victoria have approached NewHope to see if we may be able to offer support to the club. The ask is for a chaplain to be trained and appointed to this club in response. No prior experience required, simply a heart to care, serve and connect with others and a willingness to watch a bit of cricket now and then!
If you would like to explore this further or ask any questions please contact the church office. Please pray for the East Box Hill Cricket Club and that God would be at work to allow the right person/people to be connected with the club through this experience.
