NewHope is fully equipped to host your next conference. From 20 to 700 people, we’ve got all bases covered. Our newly refurbished Auditorium seats 450 people, and can be expanded into the neighboring Events Rooms 1-4 for up to 700 seats! Our cafe is ready to cater to whatever size and specifications you desire, from simple tea and coffee, to a 3 course sit-down meal. Our state-of-the-art video projection and audio systems will handle everything thrown at it and more.

Functions

No matter the size or requirements of your next function, NewHope can host you! We have Function Rooms with inbuilt AV systems as well as kitchenettes. Our cafe is also available to assist with your catering needs.

Weddings

Celebrate your special day in style with NewHope! We have rooms for ceremonies of any size up to 700 guests. We are also an excellent option for receptions as our cafe is available for catering to your needs. If you prefer to self cater, we have a community kitchen available for hire as well. Our technical staff are trained in all AV systems and will assist you professionally and stress-free on the day.

School Graduations & Formals

NewHope is the go-to venue for local schools to use for end of year graduations. Our large auditorium is perfect to seat friends and families of Graduates, and the adjoining rooms are perfect for hosting supper after the event.

Auditorium

Our Auditorium seats 450 people and can be expanded to 700 people using the neighboring Events Rooms 1-4. It’s fitted with a massive 9m wide screen and a d&b Auditechnik PA system.

Events Rooms 1-4

These rooms individually are ideal for groups of up to 40, and are divided by operable walls. Available in any configuration you wish, combine these rooms for up to 200 people to gather for meetings, weddings, conferences or keynote speeches. The rooms are available with large LCD screens for presentation and have build in sound systems with radio mics. They can also be opened up to expand the auditorium to a capacity of 700.

Events Room 5

Ideal for board meetings, the room will seat up to 15 people comfortably around a large table. It’s fitted with a 65″ LCD display.

Events Room 6

Events Room 6 can be configured as a seminar room for up to 250 people or as a modern dining and event space, seating up to 120 at round tables. Our cafe, can cater to a variety of budget requirements, for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The room is equipped with sound and data-projection technology and has a moveable stage which is usually configured along the east wall of the room.

Function Rooms

Each of these three rooms are perfect for events where children and families are involved, as they are child-proof and are fitted with kitchenettes. They seat up to 140 people and are all equipped with video projection systems and wireless microphones.

Meeting Rooms

Our 3 meeting rooms are perfect for small groups, up to 8, to meet in a quiet and relaxed enviroment. They also serve well as small break out rooms for functions occuring in our other rooms.

Where is NewHope located?

Are there car parks at NewHope Community Centre?

We have 158 car parks at NewHope.  People can park in surrounding streets, but they must be mindful of car parking restrictions.

Can NewHope provide technical support?

Technical operators are hired at additional cost, and they can provide required technical support such as sound, lighting, livestream, and video recording.

Does NewHope offer catering?

The onsite Middle Ground Café can cater for your event with delicious food at reasonable prices. Their menu options range from breakfast, lunch, dinner, morning & afternoon tea, and tea & coffee stations.

Can I self-cater?

Yes. We have 2 urns available for room bookings upon request and can set up tables. We also have a Community Kitchen available for hire.

What is the size of the auditorium stage?

The curved auditorium stage is 14 metres wide with a depth of 4.6 metres at the centre and the edges are 3.6 metres deep.  Stage extension can be hired, and the size is 2.4m x 9.6m.

How big is the foyer?

The measurement is roughly 19m x 5m.

What is the capacity per room?
  • The auditorium & overflow rooms can accommodate up to 700 people
  • The function rooms can accommodate from 80 to 200 people
  • The event rooms can accommodate from 45 to 200 people
  • The meeting rooms can accommodate from 4 to 6 people
What equipment is available per room?

Equipment in function rooms include a projector, microphone (upon request), tables and chairs.  There is a kitchenette in each function room.  Laptops with HDMI can be connected to the projectors or TV screens in our function rooms and event rooms.

Is there wifi?

NewHope has free onsite wifi.
